No Frills Conversion - Renovation

Description: Essentially, the No Frills conversion is a rebranding tactic Loblaw has implemented at select Extra Foods sites to reach out to a new demographic - those interested in economical grocery shopping. The rebranding mainly involved fixturing, which is a trade we offer within our own team. Other No Frills conversion projects we managed were in Strathmore, Stettler, and Sylvan Lake. One challenge we overcame on these projects were ordering and receiving custom-made and specialized materials on schedule due to the short project timeline. Additionally, during these conversions, the grocery stores remained open with full inventory, so all of the construction work occurred after hours. Our worksite was clean and orderly to enable an easy transition from construction site to functioning grocery store day in and day out for six weeks.
